AFL star Nic Naitanui and fiancée Brittany Bown welcome second child and reveal sweet name

AFL star Nic Naitanui and fiancée Brittany Bown have welcomed their second child together.

The couple, who have been engaged since August 2022, shared the happy news on Instagram on Sunday.

In a joint post, the pair posed up with their newborn daughter and their one-year-old son, and revealed her name to be Zuri Ateca Naitanui.

In another post on her Instagram Story, Bown shared a picture of the family in hospital shortly after the birth and captioned it: ''Everything."

The pair are already proud parents to son one-year-old son Ezekiel.

''Congratulations," Bec Judd commented underneath, alongside a heart emoji.

"Congrats guys. How wonderful," actress Lynne McGranger wrote.

Bown reportedly fell pregnant just five months after welcoming their son in October 2022.

They announced their second pregnancy in August, writing: "Our family is growing again."

"Baby girl set to join us some time in November," Bown wrote.

In September, on a holiday in Bali, Bown showed off her baby bump in a pink swimsuit and wrote: "Baby girl as big as a coconut. #30weeks."

Bown and the retired West Coast Eagles star are believed to have started dating in 2020.

Naitanui, 33, announced his retirement from AFL in August this year.

He was contracted for 2024 but suffered knee and Achilles injuries and played limited games.

"I feel like I have exhausted every avenue to work my way through my injury, but my body is sending a strong message that it is time," he said, according to the official AFL website.

He added: "You never want this day to come, but it always does and I'm content in the knowledge that I have given it everything."

He reportedly played played 213 games for the Eagles.

It came after his teammates Shannon Hurn and Luke Shuey also retired from the game.
