This trailer for John Krasinski's new horror film 'A Quiet Place' will age you 15 years

You know the silent bits in horror movies? Those quiet, heart-pounding moments where you don't know what's about to happen, but you know it's going to be BAD?

THERE IS NOW A WHOLE MOVIE OF JUST THE SILENT BITS.

(Presumably interspaced with abject terror.)

A Quiet Place marks John Krasinski's third foray into directing, and he also wrote the script and stars opposite his real-life wife, Emily Blunt.

But rather than give us the rom-com of my dreams, Krasinski has decided to send us to early graves with a sweat-inducing tale of a post-apocalyptic family whose only hope at survival is staying quiet.

It's unclear exactly what will occur if any of them make a sound, but judging by the dinosaur-sized claw marks on the wall and the panicked looks when a kid's toy spaceship makes a bloop-bloop sound, it ain't good!

"The idea of silence can be jarring in many ways, and so off-putting, that it gives the movie a tone that other movies don't have," Krasinski, 38, told IGN.

And to make sure that he and Blunt were fully prepared for their voiceless roles, they developed a fun routine at home.

"We had a joke in our house," he said, "when we were shooting and I was writing the script where any time there was a noise my wife and I would just quietly turn to each other and say 'You're dead'."

Good times.
