Well, we didn't wake up thinking that we'd emotionally identify with a Russian cat named Boris today, but here we are.
This guy is going viral because of his devotion to carbs, and it's reaching us on a deep level.
More than 134,000 people have watched Boris desperately cling on to his beloved bread with the intensity anyone who has ever tried to cut carbs would understand.
The clip, uploaded to a channel called Boris and others in St. Petersburg, is sparking off a series of "same"s the world over.
Because there are hundreds of thousands of people out there who love bread so much, this behaviour doesn't seem irrational.
This seems like a reasonable reaction to someone trying to take your precious carbs away from you.
Bread isn't just a combination of wheat, yeast and water.
Bread is soft, spongy proof that there is a higher power out there.
Bread is life.
But life wasn't always this soft and spongy for Boris.
He is actually a rescue cat who was taken in by a shelter in St Petersburg, Russia.
And while he looks like a crazy vicious kitty, he is "characterized by a charismatic character and high intelligence", according to his Facebook page.
He's also turned into a bona fide celeb, with Russian journalists lining up to interview him.
One news crew even brought the feline an offering of bread.
Yep, he's that big that people are bringing him tokens of adoration.
Boris has attracted so much attention that it looks like Boris' mates will find it easier to find new homes through the shelter thanks to its new high-profile status.
And you know what that proves?
Bread changes lives, people.
