Baby and kitten wake up from nap together

It's heart-warming to see a feline and its natural enemy, i.e. any child under the age of four, defying stereotypes and getting along like old mates.

Jennifer Stetler stumbled onto this sweet sight when she went to check on her eight-month-old daughter Laina, and promptly shared the adorable scene on YouTube.

New kitten Evie had taken a break from kitten stuff to cuddle up to the tiny tot, and Stetler caught them at the cute moment they are both rousing from their slumber.

Evie seems a little annoyed to have her sleep interrupted, but little Laina's gentle nature and sweet pats is the stuff of "awwwws".
