WA toddler dies after daycare accident

A toddler who fell into a swimming pool at a Perth daycare centre has died.
The two-year-old boy was dragged unconscious from the water on Monday morning before a neighbour administered CPR, a St John Ambulance spokesman said.
He was rushed to Joondalup Health Campus and subsequently transferred to Princess Margaret Hospital where it is understood he later died.

WA Police are preparing a report for the coroner, while Community Services Minister Tony Simpson confirmed the daycare centre had been shut while an investigation was carried out.
