WA police officer charged with assault

A police officer has been charged over an assault during an arrest in Perth.
The 36-year-old senior constable has been charged with two counts of assault causing bodily harm over the November 7 arrest of a man in Butler.
The officer, who has been stood down from operational duties, is due to appear in Joondalup Magistrates Court on Friday.
