WA AFP officer suspended over drug charges

An Australian Federal Police officer based in WA has been stood down from duty after being charged with drug offences.

The Protective Services Officer, based in Exmouth, was charged after WA Police raided a house and allegedly found methylamphetamine, a cannabis plant, drug paraphernalia and a few rounds of ammunition.

The 30-year-old man has been charged with possessing a drug with intent to sell or supply, cultivating a prohibited plant, possessing a firearm/ammunition without a license, possessing drug paraphernalia and two counts of selling a prohibited drug.

He is due to face Exmouth Magistrates Court on November 15.
