Teen's charge upgraded after fatal bashing

An 18-year-old accused of fatally bashing a man in front of police in Western Australia's Pilbara region has had his charge upgraded to unlawful assault causing death.
The 33-year-old victim died in Royal Perth Hospital two days after he was punched in the head in Roebourne on August 27.
The teenager, who fled the scene but was arrested a short time later and initially charged with grievous bodily harm, will appear in Karratha Magistrates court later on Tuesday.
