Qld man charged over WA sex assault
AAP
A Queensland man charged over the alleged sexual assault of a woman in Perth nearly eight years ago has been granted bail.
David John Armstrong, 43, is alleged to have followed and grabbed the then 52-year-old woman from behind as she was walking on a bicycle path in the northern suburb of Ocean Reef in July 2007.
The victim was able to break free after she bit the accused man, police said.

Armstrong was charged after the State Crime Operations Team reviewed the historic incident.
He appeared in Perth Magistrates Court on Friday charged with one count of aggravated sexual penetration without consent and is scheduled to appear in court again on July 17.
