Qantas reinstates Perth to Singapore route
AAP
Australian airline Qantas will again fly direct from Perth to Singapore from late June, after deciding to shelve the route in May last year.
Western Australian tourism minister Kim Hames said it made sense for the route to be part of the flying kangaroo's itinerary and the five return flights a week would be a good thing for the local economy.
"Perth has a distinct advantage over other Australian cities in terms of time zone and distance to Southeast Asia so it's convenient for business and holiday travellers," Dr Hames said.
