Elderly woman with Alzheimer’s found after getting lost during walk

An elderly woman with Alzheimer’s has been found after she failed to come home from her walk, south-east of Perth.
The 80-year-old was found in the Karrakup area after her husband called police just after 1:30pm yesterday.
Mundijong Police coordinated a land search, helped by South East Metro Response, Mounted Section, Regional Operations Group and Police Air Wing.

Police Air Wing found her during a break in the weather at about 3:50pm yesterday and helped direct the ground resources to the woman’s location.
St John Ambulance met with police and moved her to Fiona Stanley Hospital for treatment and monitoring.
