Boy killed, mum in hospital after car hits pedestrians in Perth
A boy has been killed and his mother has been rushed to hospital after the pair were struck by a four-wheel-drive in Perth’s east.
9News understands a family-of-four was getting out of a car on Belgravia Street in Cloverdale at 4.30pm on Tuesday when the five-year-old leapt out his pram and ran across the road.

A 48-year-old woman, believed to be the boy’s mother, ran after him and the pair were hit.
Bystanders gave the boy CPR until paramedics arrived.
The boy was taken to Perth Children’s Hospital, where he later died.
The woman was taken to Royal Perth Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
She was in a stable condition on Wednesday.
The driver of the Toyota LandCruiser stopped at the scene and was uninjured.
They were helping police with their enquiries.
Neighbour Emma Karich described the confronting scene.
“I came out and the mum was lying down on the road and the son lying near the bus stop,” she said.
“The son was crying saying, ‘that’s my mummy’, and ‘that’s my brother’.
“The dad was holding onto him, trying to comfort him, and he was also crying, it was really confronting.”
Neighbour Bryce Cox told 9News he heard the commotion from inside his house.
“I was sitting inside, heard sirens, stopped just outside and turned off,” Cox said.
“Just seeing people doing CPR, going on for long, pretty horrific stuff.
“You could tell he was very shaken and in a lot of shock.”
Major crash investigators are investigating the incident and have appealed for anyone who has information to come forward.
They have also urged anyone with dashcam footage of the collision to upload it directly to investigators via this link.
