Man hit by fuel truck at Perth Airport
A man is in a critical condition in hospital after being trapped under a fuel truck at Perth Airport.
The accident happened about 6am on Tuesday when the man, who is believed to in his 40s and an employee of Skippers Aviation, was hit by a BP fuel truck.
He was taken to Perth Royal Hospital with multiple serious injuries, a St John Ambulance spokesman told AAP.
A Worksafe spokeswoman said its investigation depended on where the accident happened, as the Australian Transport Safety Bureau would take over if it occurred on the tarmac.
There had been delays with Skippers Aviation flights for fly-in-fly-out workers, but general passenger flights had not been affected, a Perth Airport spokeswoman said.
Skippers Aviation declined to comment.
