A second Czech man has pleaded guilty to trying to export native animals, including reptiles, from Western Australia.

Jan Suchanek appeared in Perth Magistrates Court on Friday via video link from Hakea prison where he pleaded guilty to 16 Commonwealth offences, while the remaining charges were discontinued.

Co-accused Jan Stenicka, also from the Czech Republic, previously pleaded guilty to 18 similar offences of attempting to export native specimens and animal cruelty.

A Russian pair arrested at Perth International Airport earlier this year with the Czechs, Roman Nazarov and Eduard Galoyan, also appeared briefly in court and had their matters adjourned until June 5.

The Czech pair will be sentenced in the District Court of Western Australia later this year.

They are still facing state charges and are due back in court on those matters on June 5.
