Bushfire warning for WA's South West

A bushfire in Western Australia's South West region has eased, but a possible threat to lives and homes remains.

An emergency warning had been issued for Brunswick in the Shire of Harvey after a fire started near the Forrest Highway on Wednesday afternoon, but was soon downgraded to a watch and act alert.

The Department of Fire and Emergency Services has advised locals to leave immediately if the way is clear.

Separately, an out-of-control and unpredictable bushfire at Eradu South in the City of Greater Geraldton has broken containment lines, but is not threatening lives and homes.
