Disability pensioner arrested after man dies following alleged stabbing in Warrnambool, Victoria

A 51-year-old disability pensioner has been arrested after an alleged stabbing in Victoria.

The arrest happened just hours after a man in his 40s died in Warrnambool, a city on the Great Ocean Road.

A ‘siege-like’ situation developed before the man was taken into custody.

Emergency services were called to Cramer Street around 8.30pm last night, where the man was found with life-threatening injuries inside. He was rushed to hospital but died.

Police are appealing for witnesses and are investigating.
