Rideshare driver charged after allegedly raping passenger in Melbourne

A rideshare driver has been charged with raping a passenger in Melbourne.
Police say a woman entered a rideshare vehicle on Peel Street, Collingwood, at about 5 am on January 25.
It's alleged the driver sexually assaulted her before dropping her off at an address in South Yarra.

The woman reported the matter to police.
Police arrested a 44-year-old Thornbury man today.
He has been charged with one count of rape and two counts of sexual assault.
He was remanded to appear in court today.
