'We are going to achieve a guilty verdict': Four people accused of killing Australian brothers on Mexican surf trip to face trial
The four people accused of killing Australian brothers Jake and Callum Robinson and their American friend in northern Mexico are set to face trial as prosecutors continue to investigate who fired the deadly shots.
The Robinson brothers and Jack Carter Rhoad were on a surf trip last April in the Baja California region, near Ensenada, when they were allegedly shot dead in what police believed was a robbery gone wrong.
The four accused, three charged with murder, one with robbery offences, faced court today.

Prosecutors are still trying to figure out who fired the weapon that claimed the lives of the two Australian brothers.
"We haven't proven for certain which of them it was among the three of them one of them," A prosecutor said outside of court today.
"Two weapons of different calibres were used."
"We are doing our best to bring them justice, we believe the case we have is solid."
"We are going to achieve a guilty verdict."
Two of the accused will appear via video link from a maximum security prison, while the others will attend in person.
The alleged ringleader is a man called Jesus Giraldo, known as "El Kekas".

El Kekas faces life behind bars. Nine
One possible outcome would have been a plea deal proposed by Mexican prosecutors.
If accepted, the plea deal would have seen El Kekas jailed for 52 years and his two co-accused for 47 years.
They are instead set to face trial, where El Kekas could now face up to 378 years behind bars.
This is because he also faces a charge of forced disappearance.
His two co-accused could face 210 years if they are convicted of the murders.
It had been alleged that the murder accused tried to steal the tyres from the car of the Robinsons and their American friend, when the Australian brothers fought back before the trio was shot dead.

Gerardo's girlfriend Ari Gisel García Cota became a key prosecution witness, alleging her boyfriend confessed to the killings, telling her he killed them.
Prosecutors allege she was the instigator and they she ordered the trio to steal the tyres of the Robinsons and their friend.
The killings of the Robinson brothers, who grew up in Perth, shocked Australia.
Months after the deaths, the brothers' parents Debra and Martin Robinson set up a non-profit charity in their sons' names aimed at helping young people make positive changes in their lives.
They watched the trial today via video link as they continue to push for the justice of their two sons.
