Data released today by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) has revealed the highest median weekly earnings.

The data has revealed those in the accommodation and food services industry take home a weekly median income of $650 in August 2023.
This is up from $600 in August 2022.
18. Retail trade
Retail workers took home a median weekly pay of $875.
This was up from $800.
17. Arts and recreation services
Professionals working in the arts and recreation services industry can earned median weekly income of $915 a week in August 2023.
This was down from $1000 a week.
16. Agriculture, forestry and fishing
Those working in the agriculture, forestry and fishing industry could earn $1099.
This was up from $922.
15. Administrative and support services
Making the switch to a career in the administrative and support services industry could see you earn $1100 a week.
This was up from $941.
14. Other services
Other services includes a broad range of personal services. religious, civic, professional and other interest group services.
The industry also includes selected repair and maintenance activities as well as private households employing staff.
Parts of this sector can offer a median include of $1104.
13. Health care and social assistance
There are plenty of opportunities in the health care and social assistance sector.
Roles in this industry can offer a median weekly income of $1248.
12. Rental, hiring and real estate services
Meanwhile those who work in the real estate sector can potentially earn $1250 a week.
11. Education and training
Roles in the education and training sector can earn you a median of $1342 a week.
This is up from $1157.
