'Abhorrent': Police hunt machete-wielding gang after attack outside Melbourne's Luna Park
Police are today hunting a gang behind a machete attack outside Melbourne's Luna Park that left three teenage boys injured.
The victims were ambushed by a group of attackers outside the St Kilda fun park on Cavell Street around 6.30pm yesterday.
Two 18-year-olds received minor cuts and a 17-year-old boy was grazed during the incident. The trio was treated at the scene.

The offenders fled in a grey Land Rover, crashing into another car at the intersection of The Esplanade and Cavell Street before heading off.
No arrests have been made at this stage and the car remains outstanding.
It is believed the attack was targeted.
Police said it was "abhorrent" to bring an illegal blade into a family-friendly area like Luna Park.
"This attack happened in St Kilda entertainment precinct, where families and groups of people were out wanting to enjoy the spring weather but instead had to witness two people being attacked with a machete," Detective Acting Inspector Nick Densley said.
"These violent attacks in public places traumatise not only the victims but innocent bystanders and needs to stop.
"We will do everything in our power to hold those responsible to account."

Witness Rita Arrigo told 9News said it was shocking to see the scenes unfold at the popular tourist spot.
"We were sitting at the dining table and we watched five police cars arriving into St Kilda, pretty hectic," she said.
"We weren't sure exactly what was happening at Luna Park but we watched them tape the area, create a crime scene.
"I am actually quite surprised, it's quite a safe area normally."
Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan described the attack as "shocking behaviour".
"It won't be tolerated," she said.

Luna Park's management said it did not believe any amusement park guests were involved.
"Luna Park Melbourne is aware of reports regarding an incident that occurred outside the park on Cavell Street on Sunday, 19 October," it said.
"The incident took place externally and was not connected to activities within Luna Park.
"Our operations had concluded for the evening, we do not believe any visitors of Luna Park were involved.
"While we have limited information at this stage, we are cooperating fully with Victoria Police to assist with their investigation.
"Our thoughts are with those affected by this incident."
