New data from PropTrack has revealed the suburbs where house owners tend to hang on to their properties the longest.

10. Ivanhoe East, Victoria
In Ivanhoe East, house owners were found to stay put for an average of 19.98 years.
9. Abbotsbury, NSW
In the western Sydney suburb of Abbotsbury, home of the Treetops Adventure park (pictured), the average period of house ownership is 20.06 years.
8. Yarrawarrah, Victoria
In Yarrawarrah, the average is just slightly higher at 20.09 years.
6. Battery Hill, Queensland
Battery Hill house owners hang on for an average of 20.57 years.
5. North Yunderup, Western Australia
The average is 20.75 years in North Yunderup.
4. Macgregor, Queensland
And it's 20.77 years in Macgregor.
3. Morangup
Taking the bronze was rural Morangup, with an average ownership period of 21.18 years.
2. Mount Ommaney, Queensland
The average was 21.51 years in Mount Ommaney.
1. Church Point, NSW
But it's Church Point in NSW where house owners linger the longest around the country, with an average ownership period of 22.47 years.
