Sensory children’s toy pulled from Aldi shelves over fire danger

A sensory children’s toy is being pulled from shelves due to fears it could overheat or catch fire, following reports of several units overheating.

The Findon Light Up Sensory Plush has been recalled from Aldi shelves after reports that the toy contains a non-compliant circuit board, which may cause the product to overheat or catch fire.

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has warned that if the sensory plush toy overheats or catches fire, it can cause serious burn injuries.

The ACCC has warned that incidents of the toys overheating have occurred.

Anyone who purchased the children’s toy is urged to remove the AA batteries and return or contact Aldi for a full refund.

The sensory toy manufactured in China was sold in stores from July 4 to July 14.
