Third escaped prisoner found

The last of three prisoners who escaped from a South Australian prison on New Year's Eve has been captured.

Police say they received information from the public which led to them finding Howard Weetra in a Port Augusta West house just after midnight on Thursday.

Weetra, Craig Cullinan and Troy Churchill escaped from the low-security Port Augusta prison on December 31.

They were last seen running from the facility, but two were captured the next day.

Weetra will appear in Port Augusta magistrates court on Thursday.

A 32-year-old Port Augusta woman was later charged with harbouring or assisting a person to remain unlawfully at large.

She was bailed to appear in the Port Augusta Magistrates Court on February 16.
