A policewoman charged with drug trafficking and abuse of public office has had her identity suppressed in an Adelaide court.

The 25-year-old from Adelaide's south was arrested in August after an investigation by anti-corruption detectives and South Australia's Independent Commissioner Against Corruption.

The Adelaide Magistrates Court on Friday heard the woman, who can't be named for legal reasons, was a police officer.

She is charged with trafficking of a controlled drug, abuse of public office to secure a benefit and dishonestly dealing with property.

Magistrate Peter Wilson granted an interim order to suppress the woman's name and identity, with no objection from prosecutors.

The order will be reviewed at a court hearing next Tuesday.
