SA pair arrested over fake cheques

A man and a woman have been charged with multiple deception and theft offences over fake cheques worth $110,000 in Adelaide.

Police allege the cheques were either deposited into bank accounts or used to purchase goods online between February and March this year in the city's northern suburbs.

A search of a house allegedly uncovered stolen goods including computers, electronic equipment and jewellery.

A 35-year-old man has been charged with 37 counts of dishonest dealing with documents, theft and attempted theft, while a 35-year-old woman has been charged with 37 counts of dishonest dealing with documents and 21 counts of theft.

They have been bailed to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on August 30.
