Murder charge over outback SA stabbing

A man who allegedly fatally stabbed another man in regional South Australia has been charged with murder.

A 77-year-old stabbing victim died soon after being rushed to hospital following an incident at Andamooka, in the state's north, on Friday.

A 59-year-old man who was also taken to Roxby Downs Hospital for medical treatment was questioned by police. He has since been arrested and charged with murder.

Police say the two men both lived at Andamooka and were known to each other.

Major crime detectives have travelled to the town to help local police with the investigation, cordoning off a crime scene in Bartram Street.

They aren't looking for anyone else in relation to the incident.
