SA federal public servants ready to rally

Federal public servants will rally in Adelaide on Friday as their frustration grows over national guidelines that will change their conditions, a union says.

The Australian Manufacturing and Workers Union SA says under the Australian Public Sector Commission Guidelines, public servants will essentially have their pay frozen unless they trade off certain conditions like some leave entitlements.

The union says instead of being subject to the guidelines, workers want to be able to negotiate fair agreements with the commonwealth government.
