Manufacturing not dying: Pyne

Industry Minister Christopher Pyne says Australia's manufacturing industry isn't dying on its feet.

Ahead of a debate with Labor Senator Penny Wong in Adelaide on Thursday, Mr Pyne said the industry employed about 900,000 Australians, many in advanced manufacturing.

"These people that say that manufacturing is dying on its feet are really trying to create a crisis that doesn't exist," Mr Pyne said.
