Man dies in horror SA road train collision

A man has died and two other people have been seriously injured after their car collided with a road train in South Australia's north.
Police were called to the intersection of Germein Road and Augusta Highway, near Port Pirie, after the crash on Monday night.
A man, who was a passenger in the car, died at the scene, while the female driver and another passenger were taken to Royal Adelaide Hospital in a serious condition.

The truck driver was not injured.
Major crash investigators have inspected the scene and the highway has since reopened.
The state's road toll now stands at 35, on par with the same time last year.
