Girl, 11, dies in Adelaide car crash

A girl has died and a woman is in a serious condition after a car crash in coastal Adelaide.

Emergency services were called to Commercial Road in Moana on Tuesday night, and found a Subaru station wagon and a Nissan sedan had collided.

The driver of the Nissan, a 35-year-old Christie Downs woman, and the passenger, an 11-year-old girl were injured in the crash.

The girl died at the scene, while the driver was taken to hospital in a serious condition.

The driver of the Subaru, a 37-year-old man, was taken to hospital with minor injuries and has been discharged.

Major crash officers are at the scene and investigations into how the crash happened are underway.

Anyone who witnessed the crash or who has dashcam footage at the time of the accident is urged to come forward.
