Cannabis plants found after SA house fire

A man has been charged with growing cannabis after his house containing the illegal plants and hydroponic equipment went up in flames in Adelaide's north.

Police and fire crews were called to a fire at Valley View on Monday afternoon.

A large number of cannabis plants were allegedly discovered after the blaze was contained.

The 33-year-old occupant was charged with cultivating cannabis and bailed to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on October 15.

The blaze is being treated as suspicious.
