Calls for SA to build its way to growth
AAP
South Australia's peak civil construction body is calling on the state government to give each Eyre Peninsula council $3 million for infrastructure projects.
The Civil Contractors Federation says the idea would "light a fire" under the region's sluggish economy, providing work and jobs for local contractors.
"There's no getting away from the fact that the region's economy has stalled in recent years," chief executive Phil Sutherland said on Thursday.
