'It was just so scary': Investigation launched after power failure at Adelaide hospital
An investigation has been launched after an Adelaide hospital was plunged into darkness last night.
Flinders Medical Centre completely lost power after the transformer failed.
Ten high-risk patients from Flinders Medical Centre had to be transferred from the intensive care unit into Flinders Private, while five elective surgeries were cancelled.

Two patients were in the middle of surgery when the power went out.
Visually impaired patient Jason Jaxon told 9News that he struggled to make it back to his room after the lights went out.
"It was just so scary because I didn't have my usual visual cues of the lights to walk and gauge where [I was] going, so I was bumping into everything."
"[It was] crazy, frantic, everyone [was] out the front [asking] what's going on."

Flinders Medical Centre CEO Kerrie Freeman said no patients were harmed during the incident.
"I'll be wanting a full report with an explanation on what happened and what we need to do to safeguard our transformers and power supplies in the future," she said.
Power was restored overnight, however, a permanent solution is still weeks away.
An independent review will now try to determine what caused the transformer to fail.
