Woman 'helped Qld prisoner escape'

A woman has been charged with aiding the escape of her jailbird mate, who remains on the run in Queensland.

Kevin Andrew O'Connor, who was serving 11 months for drug-related offences, was reported missing from the Capricornia Correctional Centre Farm on Saturday afternoon.

Police have charged a 23-year-old woman, who is known to O'Connor, with aiding an escape and she's due to front the Emerald Magistrates Court on Monday.
