Woman caught on camera allegedly keying stranger’s Tesla
An elderly woman has appeared to key a stranger’s Tesla in a random attack at a train station in south-east Queensland.
The Tesla’s built-in security cameras captured the woman walking past the electric vehicle at Petrie Station on Saturday night. The woman appeared to stop, turn back and then allegedly scrape a key along the Tesla’s side.

Car owner Lindsey returned to her vehicle just nine minutes later, completely unaware of the damage until she checked her Sentry Mode footage.
“At first I was just utterly shocked,” Lindsey told 9News.
“I couldn’t believe anyone would have the audacity to key anyone’s property.
“We actually thought she had fallen on the car, so I zoomed in and realised she was actually keying the car.”
Lindsey, a mother of two who had parked in the disability bay because her children have special needs, said she was baffled as to why her car was targeted.
“I didn’t think I would ever be a target,” she said.
“Everyone’s got their hypothesis — does she not like Teslas? Just why? Why would you do this?”

Footage appears to show the woman wearing a uniform indicating she had been working at Suncorp Stadium, which had hosted an NRL clash between the Brisbane Broncos and the Dolphins earlier on Saturday night.
Suncorp Stadium confirmed the woman was an employee and said that management was aware of the video circulating online.
A spokesperson said Suncorp Stadium did not condone the behaviour and a formal internal investigation had been launched.
While damage to the car was minor, Queensland Police have been provided with the footage as investigations continue.
