A woman has been charged with dangerous driving following an investigation into a fatal traffic crash on the Sunshine Coast on Thursday.

Police will allege a 25-year-old Currimundi man and 22-year-old Baringa man were assisting with repairs for a bus, which had broken down on the side of Nambour Connection Road in Woombye, when a car travelling west struck them.

Both men suffered critical injuries and were transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital, where they later died.

She will appear in the Maroochydore Magistrates Court on June 24.
