Search under way for missing swimmer on Queensland's Sunshine Coast

A search is under way for a swimmer who went missing this afternoon at a beach on Queensland's Sunshine Coast.

Police and emergency services were made aware of the missing swimmer at Happy Valley beach in Caloundra about 2pm today.

A multi-agency search was launched to find the missing man.

He is described as being in his 60s with a bald head.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of the missing swimmer is urged to contact Queensland police.
