Mother 'traumatised' after being flung from vehicle in violent carjacking in Ipswich
A young mother says she has been left traumatised after being flung from her moving car during a violent carjacking in Queensland.
Kayla Barry jumped into the driver's side window of her car to try and stop the thief during at a service station in Dinmore, Ipswich, west of Brisbane.
She was flung out of her white Mazda CX5 as it sped off.

Barry, 33, suffered a wound to her head and scrapes down the side of her body in the Friday night carjacking and needed hospital treatment.
"I'm struggling. I don't think I have stopped crying. I am traumatised and I keep seeing his face," she said.
The mother of twins was on her way to work and was walking back to her car at the 7-Eleven when a man suddenly jumped into the driver's seat.
Barry attempted to stop him stealing the vehicle.
"I managed to get the window down and hold him through the window pleading and begging with him," she said.

"He was choking me, he was punching into me, grabbing my hair."
That's when the thief accelerated the car, nearly colliding with a bowser.
Barry, who had been halfway inside the car, was flung out and hit her head.
"I have got quite a big laceration to my head with staples and some gravel rash all over the side of my body," she said.
She was taken to Ipswich Hospital and is now at home recovering.
Her car, which has distinctive pink licence plates and "twins on board" sticker on the rear, is still missing.
Barry said there were other things inside she would like to find.
"I don't really care about the car, I just want my kids' belongings, I just want my stuff back," Barry said.

Police say the man who stole the car was tall, thin and caucasian, with short brown hair.
He was wearing a long-sleeved white shirt, pants and joggers.
