Qld sex attacker also filmed women

A man is accused of recording women asleep in their beds by filming through the windows of their north Queensland homes at night.

The 40-year-old is already known to police after he allegedly sexually assaulted a woman during a burglary earlier this month.

During an investigation into the case, police uncovered the videos and images of the Cairns women.

He's now been charged with seven counts of making a recording in breach of privacy, in addition to charges relating to the assault and burglary, including intent to commit rape.

The man's due to face court on September 18.
