Qld man walks to hospital after attack

A man has walked to hospital with a serious injury above his eye after he was attacked by a man wielding a piece of timber in a unit north of Brisbane overnight.

Police say the fight occurred about 1am in a unit complex at Scarborough, before the injured 44-year-old man walked to Redcliffe Hospital.

He has since been transported to Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital for treatment, while a 39-year-old man has been charged with grievous bodily harm and is due to appear in Redcliffe Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
