Teenage boy dies after motorbike crash near Townsville

A 12-year-old boy has died after a motorbike crash on the outskirts of Townsville yesterday.
Police said they were investigating the crash that occurred behind Coachwood Court in Nome about 4.52pm.
Detectives believe the teenager was riding a motorbike, when it crashed into a railway gate.

Queensland Ambulance treated the boy, but he died at the scene.
Nome is a small rural town located about 19km from Townsville.
Police are continuing to investigate.
