Men posing as cops search Qld home

A Queensland man and woman had a disturbing Saturday-night house call from a trio posing as police with a search warrant.

The three men arrived at a home at Edens Landing, south of Brisbane, at 7.45pm and told the 23-year-old residents they had a search warrant.

One of the trio is believed to have been armed with a gun, police say.

The residents were ordered to remain in one room while the uninvited visitors searched the house.

They left empty-handed and no one was hurt.

Police are investigating the incident and say it could have been a case of mistaken identity.
