Man charged with killing ibis on CBD street

A 31-year-old man has been charged with strangling an ibis to death in Brisbane's CBD.
It's also alleged the man used the dead bird to threaten members of the public on George Street early on Saturday morning, with police labelling the incident as "sickening".
The man, from Murarrie, is due to face the Brisbane Magistrates Court on February 10 on one count each of animal cruelty and public nuisance.
