Lucky escape after Qld light plane crash

Two men have been lucky to escape with minor injuries after a light plane flipped on landing at a Queensland airpark.

Paramedics treated the men, both in their 70s, after they managed to extricate themselves from the aircraft, which finished on its roof at the Gatton Airpark west of Brisbane just after 11am on Tuesday.

One was airlifted to Brisbane's Princess Alexandria Hospital with neck pain while the other was taken to Gatton Hospital with a minor leg cut.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson said they were both in a stable condition.

Firefighters were called due to a small fuel leak, which did not ignite.
