First three Qld NDIS sites announced

Townsville, Charters Towers and Palm Island will be the first sites in Queensland to trial the NDIS.

Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk says the National Disability Insurance Scheme will be running in the three centres, catering to about 1600 people, from April next year.

"Everyone should be over the moon today because we have waited a long, long time for this," she said.
