One dead, one seriously injured after crash north-west of Brisbane

One person has died and another is seriously injured after a two-car crash north-west of Brisbane yesterday afternoon.

Just after 3pm (4pm AEDT), a Kia Cerato and a Toyota Kluger collided head-on while travelling on Esk Hampton Road in Esk in south-east Queensland.

The driver of the Kia, a 26-year-old man from Beaudesert, died at the scene.

A 55-year-old Esk man who was driving the Toyota suffered serious injuries and was taken to Toowoomba Hospital for treatment.

Police are currently investigating, with members from the Forensic Crash Unit being on the scene, and anyone with footage of relevant information is urged to come forward.
