Dash footage sought in Qld abduction probe

Detectives investigating the abduction of a seven-year-old girl north of Brisbane have appealed for video footage from members of the public.

A 26-year-old man is facing charges including taking a child for immoral purposes after he allegedly lured the girl from a North Lakes shopping centre and sexually assaulted her in bushland on Saturday, November 8.

Police are seeking dashcam footage taken between 8am and 4pm that day, and particularly footage of a 2007 white Mitsubishi Lancer.

Police identified specific roads at North Lakes, Dakabin, Elimbah and on the Bruce Highway between the Deception Bay Road and Pumicestone Road exits as areas of interest.
