Boy impaled in the neck by meat hook during ute drive
A boy had to be airlifted to hospital after suffering a serious neck injury when he was impaled a meat hook.
He was travelling in a ute with his dad on a property in the Western Downs in regional Queensland yesterday when his father hit a bump in the road.
The boy's neck was caught on a meat hook.

His dad stopped the bleeding and drove him to hospital, where the pair were met by paramedics and the LifeFlight helicopter crew.
A critical care doctor and paramedic stabilised the patient, LifeFlight said, and he was flown to Queensland Children's Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
