Blaze breaks out in scrap yard at Kingaroy

Police are investigating an early morning blaze that engulfed a scrap metal yard northwest of Brisbane.

Emergency services were called to the Kingaroy site at about 4.30am after reports a fire had broken out.

While no one was injured, police say the fire caused extensive damage to the building and equipment inside.
