Out-of-control car hits barriers at Christmas pageant
An out-of-control car has caused a major scare at the Port Adelaide Christmas Pageant.
Participants had to be treated for shock after the sedan ploughed through a barrier, missing them by metres.
Paramedics were called to Baynes Place at Port Adelaide where a car breached a barrier at 11am just as the Christmas pageant was about to begin.

9News has been told the driver of the car suffered a medical episode in a nearby car park.
Her vehicle suddenly travelled under under a railway bridge, through a barrier, through the crowd and eventually into a fence.
Witnesses said marchers from the Royal Society for the Blind were metres from the car as it reached speeds of up to 60km/h.
Bianca Smith said she saw what happened.

"My husband just actually swore because there was a massive bang and he ran towards it," she said.
The driver of the car, a 57-year-old woman from Salisbury, was taken to hospital for observation.
Paramedics also treated several of the bystanders for shock.
The crash delayed the start of the pageant by 20 minutes.
